From the Heart of the Langhe

From the Heart of the Langhe
The Langhe region is home to the renowned Nocciole Piemonte IGP hazelnuts, celebrated for their distinctive aroma and exceptional quality.
Together with dark chocolate, these hazelnuts form the heart of Monfortelli and give them their characteristic flavour.
The Langhe is one of Italy's great culinary regions, known for generations of food culture as well as its celebrated wines and prized white truffles. Monfortelli carry this heritage forward as an authentic speciality from Piedmont.
The Small Luxury in Everyday Life
Some moments don't need a special occasion. They simply deserve something special.
A Sweet Tradition Dating Back to the Late 19th Century
According to Italian confectionery tradition, the original Tartufo Dolce was born in the Savoy region in the late 19th century.
On Christmas Eve, a pastry chef found himself short of chocolates and created a new confection from ingredients left over from other preparations. Shaped by hand and dusted with cocoa powder, the sweet creation resembled the prized truffles of the region and soon became a speciality in its own right.
Today, Monfortelli continue this tradition with a recipe inspired by the original spirit of craftsmanship and simplicity.
